Membership
AFMR's diverse membership positions it as one of the few organizations that bridges basic and patient-oriented research in multiple medical disciplines. AFMR members are scientists engaged in original research in clinical and laboratory medicine. As benefits of membership, all AFMR members receive:
- Subscriptions to the Journal of Investigative Medicine (JIM) and newsletter
- JIM Abstract Supplements
- Membership in a regional section
- Access to special interest assemblies
- Eligibility to apply for AFMR Foundation awards
- Ability to participate on committees
- Discounted registration rates at AFMR national and regional meetings
There are four categories of membership:
Active, Associate, Emeritus, and Student
